Background: Celeste Affity was born in a small section of the First City
on Vulcan. Her mother was Betazoid and her father was Vulcan. She was
separated from her parents when she was three. A young Vulcan female
noticed her and brought her to Earth, where she was adopted by the
Howard family. Their own daughter, Beverly, whent to Starfleet when
Celeste was thriteen, but Celeste was not far behind. She applied to
Starfleet when she was sixteen, and was accepted. She decided to become
a doctor, like her older sister. She took many classes, including
history, which led her to adopt Dr. McCoy of the original Enterprise as
her personal role model. Her sister graduated from the Academy 3 in her
class and married Jack Crusher. She now serves on the USS Enterprise
E. (lucky fox.) Celeste also took intensive study courses in internal
medicine, pediatric oncology, and medical psychology. She graduated top
of her class. Just after she graduated, Celeste went to Betazed to
develop her strong mix between Vulcan and Betazoid mind powers. She
also seeked knowledge of her roots. She spent two years at the Betazed
Institute of Mind Development and Intensive Study for Control. She
graduated 12th out of seventeen hundred students. Just after she left
Betazed, she was granted by Starfleet Command a chance to do a tour on
the Enterprise-E as low nurse/student serving under her older sister.
Celeste spent three years on the Enterprise. She was then ready for a
promotion. Due to her outstanding record, she was assigned a post as
executive nurse on Starbase 416. Her direct overhead officer was Dr.
Kristen Burke, who resigned recently. Celeste was granted the Medal of
Diplomacy aboard Starbase 416 for her work at trying to calm this
troubled area.
Personality profile:
Celeste Aislynne Affity is a very creative, imaginative, and colorful
human being. She is as unique as she is an outstanding officer. She
tends to slip into daydreams, but never when she is needed by the crew
or anyone else. She is very quiet and thoughtful, but it is impossible
to walk into a room and not notice her. She has an extremely sharp, dry
sense of humor that pops up from time to time. Due to her background
ther is an inherited grace and tolerance. She has an almost nonexistent
temper, due to her Vulcan roots, but when it is release she can be quite
unpredictable due to her strikingly accurate and strong mental
abilities. She can precisely read minds and feelings, but refrains from
doing so without permission. If you are friend to her once, you are
friend for eternity, but if you are an enemy to her once, it takes a
lifetime to regain her trust.
Special notes:
Celeste prefers the gravity low in her personal room, for increased
concentration, and when she is alone usually all her mental control
mechanisms are not being utilized, so please do not "just come on in"
when entering her quarters, the results could be collossal.
