Background:
Born on Earth to a Klingon mother and human father, B'Etran
grew up in a unique family. Her father owned many horses and rode in
equestrian events from three-day eventing to rodeo. She traveled
with him to the competitions all over Earth. B'Etran grew to love
the discipline and patience required to train horses for the events.
She especially loved the multi-talented Arabian. Her father gave her
a beautiful grey Arabian stallion for her 7th birthday. She may have been
young, but she could handle any horse.
Unfortunatly for the young girl, her parents separated when she was 8
because her mother wanted to return to her family and her father refused
to leave Earth. Her mother had been a successful scientist on Earth, but
the company she worked for had shut her project down. A Klingon lab had
heard that she was out of a job on Earth and invited her to work for them.
B'Etran and her mother then moved to the Klingon homeworld. She was able
to bring the stallion with her because her mother knew how much she
loved him. There she became aquainted with her Klingon half. The
adjustment from Earth to Klingon life was a little difficult, but she
managed with help from her mother. She learned the Klingon customs that
her family had not been involved in on Earth. She was taught Klingon
martial arts which she learned eagerly.
She always knew that she wanted to join Starfleet when she was old
enough. She loved horses and the life her father had, but knew it was not
for her.
Her posting to the USS LaGrange was B'Etran's first assignment. Within a year she earned her first promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade.
Personality profile:
Hardworking, determined, and driven is what her
friends would say. She seems distant and quiet at times, but those close
to her know that she can be anything but quiet. She has a great sense of
humor and has a snappy come-back for almost any comment.
Special notes:
No siblings. Willing to try anything once.
Green eyes in a Klingon face can sometimes be a little disconcerting.
