Background: Julian Hogue was born in the countryside along Lake Cataria on Betazed. Both of his parents were full betazoid. He came from a traditional Betazoid family. They always communicated using telepathy, claiming spoken language was for off-worlders, and people that didn't know any better. Julian, however, wanted to explore beyond Betazed. He learned Federation Standard at the age of 7. He then went on to other languages. His dream was always to be in starfleet and explore new worlds. He wanted to meet new species. His interest in First Contact procedures got him accepted to the University of Betazed at age 14. He later was accepted into Starfleet Academy. In 2372 he graduated with Highest Honors. Before his graduation he was able to serve as a crewman aboard the Righteous as Counselor. After his graduation he had the opportunity to try out his command level training by serving as Helm Officer on the U.S.S. Atlantis. Hogue moved a lot after his first few years out of the Academy. He later was able to make First Contact with new species on the Deneb. In order to advance his career, and rank, he moved again to the Olympus as both Helm and Ops officer. He hopes to some day reach a command level rank. As his dream has always been to command a starship. He realizes he may have to put his Psychology and First Contact interests on hold, if he wants to accomplish his dream of Command.
