Background: Elim is the son of the legendary Legath Kotan Daket. His
mother died 4 week after his birth in an accident. He grew up abourd his
fathers ship. Early in his life his skilles were dicovered. He was the only
Cardassian who was able to study and move one in his career at the same
time. After his graduation from the Academy he married his former
gilrlfriend Duran Ocett. To make a difference to his father he took the
name of his wife as his familiename. He is the youngest Cardassian ever
to became Gul at the age of 19. It is said that he became a member of the
Obsidian Order. He take command of the USS Dukat NX-1256587 a
Starfleet, Obsidian Order, Tal Shiar starship.
Personality profile: He is a person who could absolutly be trusted, he is
completly loyal to his commanding officer and his crew. He is very
intelligent even by Cardassian or Vulcan standarts. After his wife and his
father had been executed, he took his daughter Ziyal (2 month old) to the
LaGrange and started a relationship with B'Etran and asked her if she
would become his wife.

about her destruction. He personally requested to be stationed aboard a
Federation vessel. Starfleet Command gave him a special position in
Starfleet. He didn't need to go to Starfleet Academy but is able to move
up in rank in Starfleet. He has got a lot of command experience and
