As Genevieve left the Sickbay area, she was thinking about the things she had said to Dr. Affity. She wondered why she had said all that she had..... even though it wasn't the whole story. Dr. Affity seemed outwardly trustable.... but in Gen's life she had learned thatmost people were not what they outwardly seemed. She quickened her pace as the turbolift came into view. More than once she almost bumped into a crew member, and the second time she did she couldn't stop staring at how furry he was. But she continued on. Knowing what she did about people, she wondered if there wasn't something Dr. Affity wasn't telling her. It seemed that Gen had done all the talking. She reached the turbolift and stepped inside as the doors automatically opened. She had a friend on earth who had had the luxury of getting used to things like turbolifts and autodoors. That friend had taught Gen what to do. Her only friend, she thought wistfully.

"Please state you desired destination," the computer voice said.

"umm... Dr. Affity's quarters..."

"Deck eight."

"Yeah." Gen sighed, wondering why she left earth in the first place. Nobody had money there, not just her. But at that moment the doors opened and Gen stepped out. She walked a ways down a long corridor of doors until she came to the door with the corect number on a plaque next to it. She typed in the codes that the doctor had given her and walked in. She gasped. All at once she felt lighter.

"woah.............." Then Gen remembered.... Dr. Affity had said something about gravity. She adapted, and soon got bored. She looked around a bit, a dreary little mass-produced room, not much to explore. But Celeste did have some magnificent decorative peices. Gen decided to look around. She handled all of the trinkets and things until she came to a beautiful pendant necklace with a sort of stone she had never seen before. She picked it up and put it on. Looks good, she thought. But then all of a sudden the stone turned different colours, like the Aurora Borealis on earth. She gasped and put it right back where she found it. "How odd. I wonder what that was. Well, if she has interesting things like that, I wonder what she'll have in the way of clothes."

Gen walked over to Celeste's wardrobe. It opened for her. She was quite tempted to thank it. She remembered that Dr. Affity was not wearing a regulation night-gown type Starfleet uniform. She knew what they looked like. Dr. Affity's clothes were beautiful. So many, all different.

At that exact moment that she was holding one, Dr. Affity walked in, saying something to a passing officer. She stopped in her tracks. When she glanced around, she noticed that her meditation pendant had been moved, very very slightly.

"You are in deep. I hope you know that. You sure know your way around people's rooms, don;t you?" and the doors locked shut.
