"O my god", said Ty and stared at the Klingon standing still one meter above the floor and Ocett being surrounded by lightnings. She has never seen something like this and she has seen many strange things. Chandler was the first to reach he called for the Doctor.

"Affity come up to the ship's lounge immediately, "he said to her. The doctor acknowledged and arrived a short time later at the scene of chaos. Ocett had released K'Rul and the Klingon lied at the floor still starring in surprise at the First Officer who stood up just before Affity arrived. His eyes were still glowing and he looked at the captain with a look that expressed helpless and disorientation. The last thing he saw before faint was Ty and Chandler running toward him.

A few minutes later Affity and her staff has stooped scanning Ocett and healed the wounds of both warriors she told everyone to leave the sickbay except the captain and Chandler. After the last one has left she said that they could speak freely now. "What can you tell us about his 'metamorphosis'"; Ty asked her. "Well first of all it seams that his DNS hasn't been changed artificially. His brain activity has raised during the last 24 hours about 20%, he is able to produce energy fields and it seams that he has gained telekinetical powers so strong that we can't tell about his limits. His abilities seam to be permanent.", said Affity still surprised about the results of the scans.

"Is he a threat to the ship?", Chandler asked directly. Ty ironically smiled and said looking at Ocett: "If what the doctor said is as true as what I have seen today, he could have destroyed the ship with a thought. Does this answer your question Jakob?".

Before the tall Caitian could respond Ocett opened his eyes. The doctor used the medical tricorder she was still holding in her hand to scan him one more while Ty asked him how he was feeling. "Not that bad, thank you. But how is K'Rul doing?" whispered Ocett trying to get his thong back to function.

"We have to talk Mr. Ocett." Ty said before Affity could respond, "In private if you don't mind," looking at Chandler and the doctor.

"Sure captain", they said in chorus and left the room. After the door closed behind them Ocett tried to stand up but his legs needed some time before he could stand freely without the help of the bed. "Do you have any idea what happened to you down at the lounge, why has your wife been held at a research center and why didn't you tell me?" Ty said with a sound of anger in her voice.

"I do have a theory about every of this events, Captain."

"Damn it Ocett, I don't want to hear theories ore ideas, I want to know the truth!" and her eyes seamed to start glow because of anger just as bright as Ocett's did a few minutes ago. He looked at her a bit wondering about her temperament but willing to tell her the whole story. "The truth is that during the last years few Cardassians had shown telekinetical powers, but they were just temporally able to move things ore able to twist a spoon. The cardassian people threat people like them like out casts and nearly all of them died hours after there powers disappeared.

"But my wife Duran and I had those experience of such powers before we married and during the pregnancy of her powers started to become greater and uncontrollable. When the new government get to know about her powers they decided that she must be taken to a research facility and be studied by the best scientists of the Empire. My father tired to help her but was also transported to the center. 2 days ago I have received the message that Duran has been killed by the Commander in charge of the center and my father has been executed for helping her to escape from the base. As I have told you my daughter Ziyal will be transported to Romulus and ready to transport to the ship when we arrive. Duran and I have promised to search for a new father or mother in the cause that one of us died to early. When Mr. K'Rul said that it is not honorable that I asked B'Etran about marrying me so soon after the death of my wife I lost control. The last thing my powers have shown up before today were a few hours before we left the station and I hoped that they were gone. Do you understand now captain," Ocett finished his report.

Ty looked at him and said silently,"I am so sorry for you, commander. I didn't know. As what I have read so fare about cardassian believes you are now some kind of outcast among your people. I am so sorry, Elim."

"It was my fault not to inform you captain but I wasn't able to tell anything about Duran's death until now. The only reason why I am still living with you is Ziyal and B'Etran. To a Cardassian the family means everything, even more than his life. My family started dying 2 years ago. During the last 2 years my family has been systematically eliminated by the new government, because my father and I had the power to bring the empire back to life. The last one to die were my wife, my father and me. But with the birth of Ziyal my family has a new chance to survive and if it is the meant to be may be children from B'Etran and me will bring my family back to the place were it belongs," Ocett said with a mixture of melancholy and new hope in his voice.

Before they left sickbay Ty said," I trust this conversation to be private and will not write a report about it the crew will be informed that your powers have just been temporally and you will cover your abilities from now on until the end of our current mission........And Commander you are now going to B'Etran after you have taken a shower and explain everything to her just as you did to me. This is an order Mr. Ocett."

Ocett smiled for the first time since he had been aboard and said silently," Yes captain and thank you."
