Jeph left the briefing room a bit dismayed. Why was he to be left on board the LaGrange with Ocett - who obviously didn't like him - and Genevieve, the Vulcan stowaway? Affinity and Selek get to go down, he thought. The captain, and Chandler get to have that 'secret' meeting everyone was buzzing about. Robbie & Counselor Houge obviously got to do something wonderful, why did he have to remain? Wasn't it his strength, and intelligence that got him posted here? For what? To be left on board with the Cardassian and the kid? "UGH!" he cried aloud.

"What was THAT for?" asked a voice.

Jeph looked up from his seat. "Hi Captain! Nothing, just... um... a little frustrated about staying on board." he started speaking faster, "I'd really like to go down to the surface. I've never been to Romulus before." he explained.

"I see." Ty said, and walked into her ready room.

"Lt.", called Ocett, "ETA to Romulus?"

Jeph looked at the screen, "ETA 15 min., sir." So that was it? 'I see'? He was having serious doubts that serving on a starship was for him.

With everyone down on the surface, he walked the hallways freely. He ran into Gen. "What are you doing?" he asked rather coldly.

"Doctor Affity told me I could use the holodeck."

"Well..." he paused, "I'm on my way there. I'll show you a great program that I created. Do you like rock-climbing?"
