"Are you saying that Gen has been captured?"

"Um.... yeah."

"Okay. Then we've got to rescue her. We can't just sit here." "I agree, I've become quite fond of the lass. But to do that, we must find Ocett first. Can you tell if he's on the ship?"

Affity grabed the pendant. Her image flickered. "I...I don't think so."

"You don't think so? I thought that pendant was all seeing?"

"Not right now Fairchild." she said warding off an arguement. "I have never used it this much before, I don't know if the powers are weakening, or maybe..." she trailed off.

"Or maybe what?"

"It almost feels as if I'm being blocked. Like something pushing me back, so that I can't see over the edge. It's hard to explain." she said waving him off with her hand.

He moved to the turbolift doors, and pryed them open. There below him was the lift shaft that ran thru the entire ship. "Well, if we're going to do anything, we've got find Ocett."

"And don't forget, we've got to get the ship back online." she reminded him.

"I thought you told me that you had already done that?"

She punched him in the ribs, "Another dream Jeph?"

He rubbed his head, "Maybe. Come on, let's get started, we're gonna have to go deck to deck."

"Are you crazy? Do you know how many decks are on this ship? 68. It'll take us forever to search all 68 decks."

"Just be glad this isn't the Monitor." he said starting down the shaft rungs. "Do you remember that? I hated that ship. It had so many decks, but it was so cramped."

"Don't even remind me." she said. "I just wish we could ask the computer where he was." She stepped onto the ledge at deck 2. She grabbed her pendant and felt out for Ocett. "I'll start on this deck, and work my way to deck 30. okay?"

"Yeah Celeste. Just be careful. Not that I doubt that you've rid the ship of the aliens, but if you're being blocked, there has to be a logical reason why."

"Now you're begining to sound like a Vulcan. Be careful yourself. And keep in touch thru your telepathy okay? I'll be able to pick it up. The pendant always helps in that area."

"Alright. Check in say... every 1/2 hour?"

"Okay." she said, and then she dissapeared thru the door. Jeph continued on down the rungs until he came to deck 30. He opened the door, and began the search.
